PRIVATE CHARTERS

As most of our tours and services are considered “Private Charters”, we see our strength in being able to give our visitors the vessel to themselves, rather than just selling a ‘seat’.

This makes us competitive and affordable where a family or small group would like exclusive use for the day so we may also tailor a trip for them without having to consider others.

We are also able to start and finish our Private Charters outside the normal hours of scheduled tours which makes us ideal for that “Sunrise” or “Sunset” occasion.

Where a Private Charter is booked ahead, there are often changes in requests and timetables., especially special events such as weddings, filming and locations and you will find Whitsunday Paradise Explorer very accommodating to these alterations.

There is no minimum number of passengers required for a private charter, however the minimum cost of charter is 2.5 hours at the current hourly rate for our vessels.

We were able to swim with green turtles, snorkel with schools of fish, and even saw a huge, 75 year-old clam that my partner could have fit in! John is clearly passionate about the area and its history, and passed on heaps of information and stories to us. By the end of our charter, we both felt a lot more connected to the Whitsundays. A huge part of this was doing a private charter, allowing us to avoid crowds on the fly and to stay longer where we were really enjoying the experience. If possible, we would give Paradise Explorer 6 out of 5 stars! Thanks, John!!

What a great day !!

This is a must if you want to explore the Whitsunday’s and avoid the crowds. John is an amazing host, super knowledgeable and great to spend the day with. We got back at 7.30 pm as John wanted to show us a few more special places on the way back. We would give Whitsunday Paradise Explorer and John 10 stars if possible !

John took us on a 1/2 day boat tour. We loved every minute of it. We saw whales (august 2022 breeding season, snorkelled for 1.5 hours at hook island, and saw a few different islands. John was a pleasure to talk to and gave us lots of interesting information. Highly recommend!

We did the half day private tour and saw some amazing site with snorkeling at hook island being the highlight. You’ll learn a lot more about the Whitsundays if you travel with John. Well worth it.

We were lucky enough to go out with these guys for a half day trip to Nara Inlet to the aboriginal cave. I have done many tours and this has to now be top of my list. The love and passion they showed was infectious and we learnt a lot about indigenous culture. We felt humbled and warmed by them sharing their history with us. Thank you so much Peter, Marnie and John for a beautiful experience.
